The current profile list implementation makes the text of active profiles green. While this works with profiles that are named with text, it fails as soon as you use emojis as profile names. I prefer emojis because it shortens the text of the pull-down notification. (João uses the same naming convention.)

The screenshot shows my profile list. There are 4 active profiles. Can you tell which? ;-)

It would be great if active profiles would get another visual indication if they are active: either a green dot in front of the profile text/emoji or a greenish background tint would work

I'd love it if there was a galaxy watch plugin and some ability to add custom designed notifications and controls to it

I have many global variables that are used extensively through tasker.  Many of them are only used within the scope of a single project.

I would love to clean up Tasker and turn those global variables into project variables so they don't appear elsewhere.  Unfortunately it seems like the only way to do it is to manually find every instance of every mention of those variables and change them by hand, one by one.

Please add functionality to convert a global variable into a project variable instead.

I used the "Get Location v2" function to get time from the return value %gl_time_seconds.

It works very well in Android 10, but the same task doesn't work in Android 6, %gl_time_seconds keeps unset while %gl_latitude %gl_longitude can work correctly.

Now i have a small problem.

I need to make an app that wordks on the Chromecast Google TV.

I have installed Tasker and the App factrory 

I have 2 issues:

The sttings button and the button to accept the disclaimer when exporting to app are not vissable.

What should i do.

Like the title means, is there a possibility to add more action to the existing one "Gdrive Actions" like:

-Open (Directly File or Folder)

-Copy/Move/Rename/Delete (File or Folder)

-Share (Selected File)

As we can manage our Internal Memory, with these features we could manage our Cloud too with Tasker, saving so many manual management outside the Tasker.

I hope it's understandable what I need and be useful for  many others too, 🙏

Hey! I was trying to make a profile that reads my notifications when I ask for the assistant, which I think would be the equivalent of long pressing the media button. However, I'm not able to make it work with the current options. I'm aware of the multimedia button options, and the Assistant Request, but none work as intended. The last one works, but also opens a screen showing how to enable google assistant.

For the task "Set Wallpaper" , I would like to choose from the default stock wallpapers . Currently I can't do that. Can you add this feature please?

Hii, in some devices (including mine Lenovo) Tasker can't detect logcat (it always shows no log captured) with READ_LOGS permission because device manufacturers modified the device in someway. Not any other app which relies on READ_LOGS permission can do it too but I found an App which reads logs with adb_wifi permission (adb tcpip 5555)

So I'm wondering if Tasker can add it too.

Additionally : could you bring back Android 6 support for logcat detection.

This should only require a few changes to manifest and an additional 320x180 banner icon.

in attempting to get a list of current and recent apps using App Info action 'last(0:3)', tasker's package name will populate the return array if a scene has been shown. Is there a way to differentiate between scenes and the app itself? I would like for tasker app to show in array, just not for scenes.

When dragging Actions around in Task Edit, it took me a long while to notice that the (+) icon changes to the bin icon. Before I found this, I used to delete Actions by pressing using the "cut" function (still do now due to habit).

Changing the bin icon colors to red background + white bin icon makes it more clear that the icon changes and that you can drag Actions there to delete them. Cheers!

I use html request get to store data from https://sampo.thl.fi/pivot/prod/fi/epirapo/covid19case/fact_epirapo_covid19case.dimensions.json. When I store in to variable, it doesn't include it whole. Does tasker cut it partly? How to workaround it?

Since Joao and others pointed out that we could use the Variable Value context for complex logic, I have converted several contexts to complex Variable Value contexts.

One problem that I have is viewing the state of the individual logical operations in one Variable Value context.

Please add an option to the context menu to view the current status of each operation. Highlight them green if true. Just like the overall status of the context.

Escaping is pretty much a requirement for languages/syntaxes to work well. There's currently no way to escape special characters for Tasker pattern matching.

I also know you can use regexes as a workaround but it's suboptimal if the matching should be indeed simple.

Rather than just some sort of specific Tasker URIs, they should work with content and maybe file URIs.

Another simple suggestion that would make debugging easier. "With error", when ticked, should accept custom text that would get displayed as the error message in run log (or rather the one displayed when you open the app, nt sure what's this one called).

Could you please add the ability to edit the android manifest for kid app within the app factory interface please.
